FreelinMX MudBog RULES


1. No Alcoholic beverages and/or illegal drugs will be allowed to be consumed by any driver during any part of the event. Any driver found to be under the influence will be disqualified and all fees forfeited. NO EXCEPTIONS.

2. Speed limit on the event grounds and pit area is not to exceed 5 MPH. Any unsafe driving acts and/or speeding will not be tolerated. Disqualification will result and all fees will be forfeited. NO EXCEPTIONS.

3. All vehicles must have seat belts. All classes must have suitable fire extinguisher, with gauge, properly mounted and secure within reach of the driver while strapped in driver position. Minimum 4-point harness required in classes 4 & 5.

4. Must have a permanent pull-back hitch capable of accepting a ¾-pin clevis at the rear, mounted no higher than 6 inches above top of frame, no chains or cable

5. Must have a kill switch within reach of the driver seat belted in, and a working neutral safety switch

6. Must have brakes capable of stopping within a safe distance

7. Batteries must be securely mounted and covered if not in engine compartment. No bungee cords or tie-down straps.

8. Full fire wall and floorboards are required. Cooling systems must be shielded from driver and Pit Officials/workers

9. Any open top or soft top vehicle, or with glass removed, MUST have roll cage securely mounted to body

10. Drivers using fuels like Nitro or Alcohol MUST wear full fire suit

11. All drivers must wear a minimum of long pants, t-shirt (short sleeves OK), & tennis shoes

12. Full approved helmet (NO half helmets allowed) AND MUST BE WORN UNTIL OUT OF MUD BOG PIT

13. All vehicles running gear will be inspected to verify safety

14. Any open boxed floors, Open classes, MUST have drive shaft loops. Loops highly recommended in all classes. YOU are responsible for finding your lost drive shafts!

15. No induction from inside the driver compartment

16. Random fuel test to be done at any time by Tech/Pit Officials

17. Lower truck vehicles can bump up into higher classes

18. TECH COMMITTEE MAY RE-INSPECT VEHICLE AT ANY TIME AND REFUSE ANY COMPETITOR. Tech/Pit Officials decisions are final, NO arguments!

19. Nitrous equipped vehicles must be clearly identified.

20. All Open class vehicles must be equipped with a functional kill switch attachable to a tether line.

21. Open class vehicles must be equipped with two (2) Master Kill Switches. All blowers must be tied to block to prevent loss. Scatter shields and explosion shields at all u-joints and drive line loops must be in place.

22. Suitable "kill switch", clearly marked, on vehicles that don't have a factory ignition switch.

23. No passengers allowed in any vehicle during competition.

24. No tire chains allowed.

25. All vehicles not coming to a complete stop after each run will be disqualified.

26. No loose objects allowed in any vehicle during competition. If not secured in the vehicle and it comes out during competition; you will be disqualified.

27. Any vehicle leaving the assigned track area during competition such as an attempt to gain better traction on the side of the pit shall be disqualified from that run.

28. Driver meetings will be held prior to the start of the event. All event participants MUST attend the meeting. No shows will be disqualified and entry fees forfeited.

29. Any vehicle that can not run the round or fails to stage when called to do so will forfeit their chance to run and their entry fees.

30. All protests must be made prior to the run of that class. Only a driver of that class can initiate a protest. All protests must be accompanied by a $50.00 protest fee. The only exception to this fee is for a protest of an illegal engine; protest, accompanied by a $300.00 fee, will cause a MUST for both drivers to tear down their engines. If the protest is upheld, the driver will get the protest fee returned. If not upheld, the fee will be forfeited to the driver the protest was made against.

31. All tires will be measured horizontally, not vertically.

32. All ties will be settled by combining payoffs and divided equally, trophies will be decided by coin toss.

33. All medical bills and services arising from this event by the driver and/or crew shall be the team's responsibility alone. All event participants hereby release, waive, discharge and covenants not to sue the promoter, participants, track owner (s), track operator'(s) and each of their officers and employees and release same from all liabilities.
